How to Become a Board Member

Dear Board Members,

In this coming November election, we have 3 – three year terms to be filled. We have made the notification to the Camden County Election Officials.

Attached please find the petition form. You need to complete the following information:

A. Name of the candidate.
B. Signatories
C. Affidavit of Circulator; must be signed and notarized
D. Candidate’s Acceptance/Oath of Allegiance which also must be notarized.

Points of Clarification
B. Signatories: There must be a minimum of 10 and there are 12 spaces. I suggest you get at least 12 (one can be the candidate) in case of a challenge and typically one or more are disqualified. Please note: They are still requiring “wet” signatures.
C. & D. Affidavit of Circulator and Candidate’s Acceptance/Oath of Allegiance both need to be notarized. Barbara Nobel is a notary. She would need to witness these signatures so please do not sign ahead of time.

Completed nominating petitions MUST be filed with the Camden County Clerk’s Office on or before 4:00pm, Monday July, 31, 2023. In person, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm: The Office of the County Clerk, Camden County Elections and Achieve Center, 100 University Court, Blackwood NJ 08012. If you want to mail it, the address is below but this is not recommended.
